Engineer Assessor

"QubeGB has a good team of multi skilled people working within the organisation."

When did you join QubeGB?

August 2008

What does your job involve on a day-to-day basis?
Various tasks from installing a wireless access point in a restaurant, pub or bar to showing people how to use the Wi-Fi system installed. Fixing telephone faults, broadband faults within peoples home or businesses. Also replacing equipment such as faulty routers, phone wires and sockets or changing TV set top boxes for  IPTV services (TV through the phone line via a router).

What do you like about working at QubeGB?
Meeting different people every day, the freedom of working on my own, managing time and the jobs to be completed especially when in different areas. The thanks shown by the grateful customers when they appreciate the hard work and effort you have gone through to fix the problems that they have been having with their service. QubeGB also has a good team of multi skilled people working within the organisation.

What's your most memorable QubeGB experience so far?
This is a difficult question to answer there have been a few:

  1. The first time I started training a class of new subcontractors, the triumphant look on their faces when they understood what was being taught, the satisfaction that they had achieved and as they had learnt something new.

  2. Leaving a customer’s house, he said “I’m very impressed with you, the way you carry out your work”.

  3. Visiting Scotland for the first time in my life, QubeGB Ltd have offices in Scotland, it was nice to finally visit the country so rich in history and beauty.

What's your favourite album?
I don’t have a favourite album I like many varied types of music from underground rap, old school R&B to real old school groups like the Temptations, Tina Marie and classical music such as Tchaikovsky. I also like gospel music, smooth jazz and eighties popular music.

What's your stance on Marmite?
Marmite is ok although I have not tried it in a very long time but remember liking it as a child. It has a unique taste and it seems to me that marmite should have been a hot drink that cowboys from the wild-west or fishermen should be drinking on a cold wet night to keep them awake rather than a spread to be put on bread.
