Qube GB currently has an exciting position opened for a finance focused person based in the Scottish Borders.

The suitable candidate wouldassistant the Senior Finance Assistant and Head of Finance in the daily, weekly and monthly tasks required within the Finance Function at Qube.

Key role requirements will be aligned to the following:

  • Production of Engineering payroll - liaising with external payroll provider and internal departments to collate, process and reconcile all payments and deductions. Est 300 employees.
  • Generating Purchase Order’s for internal department’s expenditure.
  • Administration and reconciliation of Qube Engineering bank account.
  • Completion of expense claims for company engineers.
  • Issuing weekly invoices to sub-contractors, and providing cover for the Senior Finance Assistant production of the invoices.
  • Dealing with internal/external client queries and being able to investigate these in order to provide a reasonable solution to all parties.
  • Working alongside the other Finance team members to process the purchase ledger and complete month end processes.
  • Assisting the Senior Finance Assistant on general accounting tasks as required. Including the posting of journals, reconciliation of nominal accounts and month end processes.
  • Assisting the Senior Finance Assistant with customer invoice production, credit control and other tasks as required

Essential skills

  • Experience with payroll required
  • Self-starter who is able to use own initiative
  • Finance related qualifications preferred but not essential
