To celebrate the Diamond Jubilee our last couple of blog articles looked at the many technological changes over the past sixty years. It makes you realise the unbelievable technological advances which have happened during Queen Elizabeth’s reign but particularly in the past twenty years.
This has not just affected technology but also the way that we carry out business. Despite the economic downturn, QubeGB have experienced a rapid demand for their services both for business and residential customers. QubeGB therefore are currently carrying out a major recruitment drive across the UK to cover a number of roles but in particular are looking for engineers. When QubeGB first set out in business it was the norm to recruit staff simply by advertising the role in the job centre and/or placing an advert in the paper! But today things have changed...
Today, crucially all companies need to have a strong brand and spend time investing in this in order to ensure potential employees are aware of you as a company. It is imperative that when you are researched online by potential employees that you come across as a strong and confident company. In addition, we have found that it is important to promote any recruitment drives online to include sites such as university graduate websites as well as making sure that there is a careers section on our website. A social media presence is also essential and QubeGB have a business page on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and have found them very effective as part of our recruitment programme.
That is not to say though that the old ways are not important and the Job Centre and recruitment adverts in the press and on radio remain an integral part of the recruitment campaign.
