Description

IT Help Desk Support

Fixed term 2 months - Stevenage

Qube GB currently has an exciting position opened for a person with an avid interested in IT Support to join our busy Technology team based in Stevenage. The role is initially for a 2 month period to help with our current growth plan, and thus may be extended. This would be ideally suited under a Contract for Services arrangement

Purpose of Role

  • To support and maintain the Microsoft desktop environment required to operate the business.
  • To support the field-based engineers using Mobile and Windows devices
  • To provide all end users within the business with a high level of support to enable them to perform their daily activities.
  • To assist the team (including undertaking travel to other locations) in certain specified projects
  • To be involved in the life cycle of projects
  • Work in partnership with other departments as required ensuring correct exchange of knowledge.

 

Skill Set Requirement:

 

  • GCSE grade A - C, A levels or HND/HNC’s advantageous
  • General IT experience desirable but on the job, training will be provided if the candidate can demonstrate transferrable knowledge and skills either from interest or a previous role
  • Windows 10 desktop environment
  • Microsoft Office / Office 365
  • A logical and systematic approach to problem resolution.
  • Experience in a Similar PC / Server support role
  • Experience in a support / helpdesk function communicating industry knowledge  
  • Experience of providing support via remote control applications & RDP.
  • Understanding of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, routers and switches
  • Management of network printers.
  • MS Server 2012+ environments
  • Server and Network infrastructure upgrades and maintenance.
  • Salesforce CRM exposure
